“Help the life of one person and you can help the community.” – Steven Sawalich

About Me
Hello my name is Kristin Lewis, and I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist based in Groton, CT. I discovered my calling to become a therapist after over 20 years in the telecom industry. In 2015, I followed my heart and enrolled in the Marriage and Family Therapy graduate program at Southern Connecticut State University. Since graduating, I have continued to refine and grow my practice, dedicating my career to supporting individuals and couples as they navigate life’s challenges.
As a veteran of the Connecticut Army National Guard, I am also deeply committed to serving the veteran community, as well as first responders—including firefighters, EMS, paramedics, police officers, dispatchers, and Department of Corrections personnel—and their spouses. I understand the distinctive pressures and demands of these professions and the profound impact they can have on personal well-being and family dynamics. My background equips me to provide a trusted, culturally aware, and empathetic space for those who serve our country and communities.
In my work, I provide a safe, confidential environment where clients feel heard and supported, with care that is tailored to each person’s unique needs. Together, we tackle the most challenging aspects of their lives, focusing on building resilience, strengthening relationships, and achieving personal goals.
Through our work, clients emerge stronger, more confident, more equipped and empowered to lead fulfilling, balanced lives. Whether you are facing personal struggles, relationship issues, difficulties with a life transition, or the unique challenges of your service-related profession, I am here to help!
